Why Cardboard Recycling Is Very Important

  • January 19, 2012 10:17 pm

We are all aware that a lot of products are often packed using cardboard. In fact, in United States nearly eight five percent (85%) of products are packed in cardboard. Try to multiply that number with the remaining countries all over the world, imagine how many types of cardboard are being used and being disposed improperly every year. Now, where are these cardboards coming from? It basically comes from the pulp extracted from the trees. Apparently, the number of trees around the world is continuously decreasing and as humans, we need them so badly to reduce the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and to keep the continuous supply of oxygen. In order to keep ourselves alive and to save the environment, it certainly makes sense to lessen the amount of cardboard that we are using. Obviously, we cannot stop using cardboard but it doesn’t mean we have to cut down trees every time, the solution to this problem is cardboard recycling, recycling or reusing the cardboard in the most effective and cost efficient way.

We are all aware that the cardboard manufacturing industry isn’t friendly to our environment, every process involved posts lots of danger to our surroundings. By means of paper recycling, we can reduce the production of cardboard thereby we are also reducing the production of wastes, thus we are saving our environment and ourselves from possible natural disasters that may occur later on. But remember not to recycle cardboard damped by chemicals or any sort of liquids.

Reusable Bags Are Good For The Environment

Using stuff for a second (or third, fourth, and even fifth) time is always good. This is one way of contributing to the efforts in preserving nature. Recycling and reusing items have always been considered highly effective ways to control waste and keep them from destroying the environment. You can do your share by using reusable bags each time you shop. This eliminates the need to use plastic bags, which are inappropriately disposed of most of the time and end up clogging water systems. Reducing the use of plastic will help keep the planet from going down to the path of destruction.

It may seem trivial for some but using reusable bags can go a long way in saving the Earth. Plastic takes many years to decompose. We’d all be dead but it will still be there. The more plastic we use, the greater chances for clogging rivers and damaging marine life there is. Use custom bags instead. These offer a better and more eco-friendly alternative. Not only would you be contributing to the efforts to preserve the planet, you will also be able to save more money. Why? You don’t need to pay additional charges each time you shop by bringing your own bag.
