Why Cardboard Recycling Is Very Important

  • January 19, 2012 10:17 pm

We are all aware that a lot of products are often packed using cardboard. In fact, in United States nearly eight five percent (85%) of products are packed in cardboard. Try to multiply that number with the remaining countries all over the world, imagine how many types of cardboard are being used and being disposed improperly every year. Now, where are these cardboards coming from? It basically comes from the pulp extracted from the trees. Apparently, the number of trees around the world is continuously decreasing and as humans, we need them so badly to reduce the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and to keep the continuous supply of oxygen. In order to keep ourselves alive and to save the environment, it certainly makes sense to lessen the amount of cardboard that we are using. Obviously, we cannot stop using cardboard but it doesn’t mean we have to cut down trees every time, the solution to this problem is cardboard recycling, recycling or reusing the cardboard in the most effective and cost efficient way.

We are all aware that the cardboard manufacturing industry isn’t friendly to our environment, every process involved posts lots of danger to our surroundings. By means of paper recycling, we can reduce the production of cardboard thereby we are also reducing the production of wastes, thus we are saving our environment and ourselves from possible natural disasters that may occur later on. But remember not to recycle cardboard damped by chemicals or any sort of liquids.
